About the position

The position advertised is a fixed-term employment of 30% during the academic year 2026/2027 as a school doctor within Magelungen's resource primary schools and resource upper secondary schools.

As a school doctor with us, you belong to the central student health service and have close collaboration with our school nurses and school psychologists.

The Head of Central Student Health, Operations Manager according to HSL, has the overall management responsibility for the quality and patient safety of the operations and is also your direct manager.

The school doctor's work is based on the internal management system and the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines and includes, among other things, medical assessments, developmental follow-ups, screening, referrals, and counseling, as well as medical competence in collaboration with school staff, student health services, and guardians. The school doctor also contributes to organizational planning and policy work together with the Operations Manager.

The assignment includes a school doctor's clinic in close collaboration with the school nurses. Most consultations take place physically in Stockholm and in surrounding areas, while a smaller portion is conducted digitally via secure video meetings.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in school health care, general practice, child and adolescent psychiatry, or child and adolescent medicine.

Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, student health services, and work with children and young people with neuropsychiatric and psychosocial difficulties is meritorious. Familiarity with collaboration with other actors such as social services and child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as an interest in interprofessional work, holistic view, and operational development, carries significant weight.

The position requires that you are self-reliant, structured, responsible, flexible, responsive, and have a great interest in children and young people in extensive need of special support. Furthermore, you should have the ability to adapt your working methods to the target group.

Great importance is attached to flexibility and planning ability as well as personal suitability.
