We are looking for you who, together with us, want to develop and drive respiratory care forward at our ward.

The Lung Department is part of the Internal Medicine unit and has 20 care beds. We offer acute and planned specialist care for the entire county of Gävleborg. Here, you will become part of a competent work group where it is easy to thrive and develop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

On the ward, we treat and investigate patients with lung diseases, where the largest patient groups are lung cancer and COPD, as well as other conditions and diseases leading to respiratory failure. We also admit general medical patients when space permits. In your work, you will collaborate closely with the responsible nursing assistant and doctor on your care team, and you will also collaborate with other support functions on the ward, such as coordinators, care planners, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.

As a nurse with us, you will work with, among other things:

• Arterial blood gases
• Inhalations
• Pleural drainage
• Ventilators

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have good collaboration skills, can communicate well, and are sensitive towards patients and your colleagues. Since we provide specialized respiratory care for acute and severely ill patients as well as palliative care, we see that you are a flexible person who has the ability to relate to and put yourself in others' situations. Here, you will gain both deeper knowledge of pulmonary diseases and broader knowledge of general medicine, as well as a fun and educational workplace where you make a difference.

In the role of nurse, you must:

• Be a licensed nurse with permission to work in Swedish healthcare
• Be able to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing

We are looking for both those who are newly graduated and those with a few years of experience. Previous experience in respiratory care is meritorious but not a requirement. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
