About Us

Dalengeriatriken is located in the beautiful Enskededalen area at Dala Hospital, between Sandsbord and Blåsut.

We are a wonderful department where we contribute to a great sense of security and where everyone is close to laughter. Uniquely, we have good cohesion and a "high ceiling" atmosphere (open and free). Here, we help each other out. We have approximately 40 employees.

Department 52 is an acute geriatric department with intake around the clock. Patients are referred to us from the emergency room, ambulance, inpatient care, home (primary care), and SäBo (supported housing). Common diagnoses include infections, COPD, heart and vascular diseases, diabetes, etc. The average length of stay is about 1 week.

To provide the best care, we work in multiprofessional teams consisting of doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, as well as dietitians, speech therapists, and social workers when needed. On the department, we use inpatient dosing, which saves time and ensures a safe working method when administering medication.

The department coordinator plans, together with relatives, the municipality, home care, primary care, and SäBo, the coordination regarding the patient's discharge home from the department.

During admissions, we work with iPads, which saves time and is primarily more patient-centered and engaging.

Your Role

You will be the leader of a team of three people, where you care for 22-24 patients.

It is important that you, as a leader, have good knowledge of prioritization and collaboration. The role includes both medical and nursing responsibility.

About You

You have good knowledge of standard nursing tasks and at least 1 year of experience as a registered nurse. You should be interested in medicinal technical tasks and the acute condition.

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in the geriatric patient and enjoy working in a team. Employment Terms

Work Experience: At least 2 years of work as a registered nurse

Employment type: Permanent employment, 6 months of probationary period applies. Scope: Full-time. 32.33 hours/week, nights only. Degree of employment: 87%, part-time can also be discussed. Salary: Monthly salary. Start date: By agreement.
