We currently have 30 employees, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, an assistant nurse/administrator, and a rehab assistant. We work with the back clinic, surgical, orthopedic, and pediatric wards, and provide hand rehabilitation and outpatient care for children/adolescents. We are now looking for a physiotherapist to join our team working with the surgical ward, a 6-month temporary position with the possibility of extension.

The workplace is located in Östersund, in beautiful Jämtland, with close proximity to both the mountains and Storsjön. For those newly relocated to the county, we offer assistance with housing, just a few minutes' walk from the hospital.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physiotherapist on a surgical ward in Östersund, you work with patients in the postoperative phase, focusing on early mobilization, rehabilitation, and preventing complications. You assess patient function, plan and carry out individual treatment interventions, and instruct in exercise and safe transfers. The role also includes fitting assistive devices, contributing to discharge planning, documenting in patient records, and collaborating in a multiprofessional team. The goal is to support the patient in regaining function and independence after surgery.

The position may also involve tasks in more than one of the areas we staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Physiotherapist
  • Experience working in inpatient care is an advantage
  • You have the ability to work with people; listening, showing empathy, and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and appreciate others' contributions.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
