Are you a recent graduate in Systems Science, Computer Science, or a related field, and do you want to kickstart your career in an advanced, data-driven environment? We are now looking for a junior consultant for an exciting assignment at E.ON, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with a specialized quant team within Energy Markets. Here, you will combine technology, data, and analysis in a role with significant development opportunities, while becoming part of a competent team with a high technical level and a strong collaborative culture.

About the Role

As a junior quant/system scientist, you will become part of the quant team within Process IT at E.ON Energy Markets. The team works closely with the business and focuses on data management, modeling, and the development of data-driven solutions related to the energy market. This role places a greater emphasis on databases and data management than traditional quant roles and involves close collaboration with the Data & Analytics team, where several Data Engineers work with the same data platforms and information flows.

You will join a team with high technical competence, where you will have the opportunity for onboarding, knowledge transfer, and support from experienced colleagues. To facilitate this, you are expected to be on-site at the office in Malmö at least three days a week, primarily Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will work with data management, modeling, and automation of data flows. The tasks may vary depending on the team's needs and project development, but examples of responsibilities include:

• Performing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using SQL and Azure Data Factory
• Working with data modeling in SQL, primarily through views
• Managing and analyzing data using Python and Pandas
• Working in a Snowflake environment within Microsoft Azure
• Automating data flows using Azure Data Factory or Databricks
• Developing and implementing API calls for efficient data management
• Extracting and recreating business rules from existing systems
• Working with CI/CD pipelines in tools such as GitLab or Azure DevOps
• Participating in the development and deployment of production-ready data solutions
• Collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to data-driven analyses within the business

We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has recently graduated in Systems Science, Computer Science, or a related field and wishes to develop within data, analytics, and modern data platforms. This role is suitable for you if you are analytical, curious, and motivated by learning new technologies and methods.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Systems Science, Computer Science, or equivalent
• A Master's education including courses in databases, mathematics, or statistics
• Basic knowledge of SQL and Python
• An interest in data management, analytics, and data modeling
• The ability to work in a structured and quality-conscious manner

It is an advantage if you have experience from projects, thesis work, or studies in:

• Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake
• GitLab or Azure DevOps
• API integrations or CI/CD pipelines
• Machine Learning or data pipelines in Azure
