Your role

As a vehicle technician, you will work with repairs, service, and preventive maintenance of the port's machinery fleet. Our fleet includes forklifts, container handlers, loaders, cranes, and container tractors. The tasks vary and can range from simple preventive service to advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and basic welding.

Norrköping Port has over 160 machines, most of which are heavy vehicles.

The role involves extensive contact both internally and externally. This includes receiving and prioritizing internal work orders, as well as handling dialogues with external suppliers regarding warranty issues, machine faults, and spare part orders.

You will be part of the port's workshop, which has 16 employees. We work in modern facilities by the water on Händelö.

Your profile

We prefer that you have a technical education in vehicle technology or equivalent, as well as experience working with repairs of heavy vehicles or in a similar industry. You are confident in your technical skills, accustomed to reading and interpreting technical instructions, and have good experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.

Since we work in the maintenance system Maint Master, we view it positively if you have good computer skills. You thrive working both independently and in a team, and do not hesitate to take responsibility where needed. You are service-oriented, positive, solution-focused, and have a curiosity to continuously develop your knowledge.

Basic welding skills and experience working with hydraulics are considered meritorious.

Being proficient in expressing yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, is a given; English is meritorious. A valid Class B driver's license is required to navigate the port areas. You must be at least 18 years old.

Personal suitability for the position is of great importance.

Scope and duration

The position is a summer temporary role during weeks 27–31, full-time, with a start date to be agreed upon.

Norrköpings Hamn AB, Händelö, Norrköping.
