We are located in modern activity-based offices in the newly renovated town hall, together with other urban planning activities, which provides good opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Around 90 employees work here, distributed across five departments – building permits, planning, geographic information, quality and development, and the municipality's land survey – all contributing to developing Varberg for both today's and tomorrow's residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As our temporary building permit officer, you review building permit applications based on formal regulations as well as suitability and design, and actively participate in the department's development work in these areas.

The assignment includes making decisions on building permits by delegation, providing service to the public in the form of advice and information, and presenting cases before the Building Board. Handling supervision cases and administrative tasks related to building permits may also occur.

You must have a degree from a building permit officer training course or education that the employer finds equivalent, and at least 1 year of experience in handling cases based on the Planning and Building Act. We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
