About the position

The Health and Social Care Administration is looking for nursing assistants (undersköterskor) and care aides (vårdbiträden) for home care and special housing in central Strömsund. You will become part of the Strömsund production area, which consists of two special housing facilities, three home care groups, and a night shift team. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in an engaged team, develop your skills, and contribute your competence where it does the most good.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant or care aide with us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. You support individuals in their daily lives based on benefit decisions and implementation plans, and every meeting is a chance to spread security, joy, and care. Your tasks are varied and meaningful, and include among other things:

• Supporting at home and in daily life with cleaning, laundry, bed-making, shopping, and cooking.
• Performing personal care with respect and warmth, for example during showering, toilet visits, dressing, meals, and personal hygiene.
• Creating joy in daily life through activities, social interaction, walks, games, or other initiatives.
• Being responsible for medical tasks such as blood pressure checks, wound dressings, and medication management after delegation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are trained as a nursing assistant and/or have experience working with elderly people.
• Are responsible, secure, and have a professional attitude.
• Enjoy collaborating with colleagues, but also take own responsibility and work independently when needed.
• Can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish, as Swedish is a basic prerequisite for being able to communicate with colleagues, care recipients, and document in a safe manner.
• Have good computer skills and understand the importance of documentation for quality and continuity in care.

Upon request, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record register in accordance with the Act (2026:43) on register control when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities.

A driver's license is required for work within home care.

Employment terms

Type of employment: Summer job / Holiday work.
Duration: 11 days - 3 months.
