What will your role be at Metsä?

As a Mechanic, you will work with machines and equipment, including paper machines, converting lines, and other process equipment. Your main tasks will be to perform maintenance activities, both corrective, preventive, and planned. You will also work with installations and be involved in reconstructions. You will perform improvement work and optimization of machine equipment against set goals.

You are a solution-oriented person who sees opportunities, as problem-solving and troubleshooting are the foundation of a large part of the work.

Working hours are during the day.

On-call duties occur, and shift work may become relevant.

Who are you?

We are looking for an engaged employee with good competence as a mechanic and a genuine interest in the field. You take initiative and can work independently, but also have very good collaboration skills. You take great responsibility for your tasks and ensure they are carried out, placing great emphasis on safety and quality of the work performed as well as delivery. With your drive, you get things done while being flexible and stress-resistant.

Qualifications

• You have a high school education in industry/technology or equivalent experience.
• Good experience and competence in pneumatics, hydraulics, bearing assembly, and welding, as well as mechanical processing in turning and milling.
• Drawing reading.
• Good skills in troubleshooting and practical work execution.
• Computer literacy.
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
• Category B driver's license.
• Merit-based competence in paper manufacturing and automation.
