We are now looking for a Project Director for our operations in Gothenburg, responsible for leading and developing larger projects within infrastructure, water and wastewater, industry, and waste management.

You will become part of an established Nordic group with approximately 1,300 employees, while working in a business with short decision-making paths, significant authority, and a high entrepreneurial spirit.

The role entails overall responsibility for project execution, with technology, leadership, coordination, and customer relations with both private and public clients at the center.

You will be based in Gothenburg and work on projects in the Gothenburg area and surrounding regions.

About the role

As Project Director, you are responsible for leading large contract projects from planning and establishment to execution and delivery. You work closely with the customer, site management, and project organization, playing a central role in driving projects forward through clear planning, coordination, and close collaboration.

You will join at an early stage and play a vital role in establishing a new site at the customer's premises prior to project start. Here, there are great opportunities to influence working methods, structure, and how the business is built up over time.

Projects are often carried out in collaboration with several different actors and disciplines, meaning the role requires good ability to coordinate work and create functional collaborations throughout the project. The role suits you who thrive in complex project environments where technology, people, and business need to work together to achieve common goals.

Examples of areas of responsibility

• Lead and drive contract projects from establishment to execution.
• Coordinate contractors, technical interfaces, and different parts of the project organization.
• Build and develop long-term relationships with both private and public customers.

• Contribute to the development of working methods and project management.
• Work closely with both public and private clients.

The role entails significant authority, a high degree of independence, and close collaboration with both the customer and internal organization.

We are looking for you who

Are a confident and business-minded leader with experience in driving complex projects where multiple actors need to collaborate. You have likely worked as a Project Director, Senior Project Manager, Site Manager, or Production Manager and feel comfortable in environments where technology, people, and business go hand in hand.

To succeed in the role, you need to have a good understanding of contract forms and feel confident working with ABT contracts and contract law issues. You have experience with projects within, for example, infrastructure, industry, water and wastewater, or similar technical operations where coordination, planning, and structure are crucial for successful execution.

Experience from construction, industry, infrastructure, water and wastewater, or similar technical project environments is meritorious. Most importantly, you have technical understanding, strong leadership, and experience in driving projects in environments where many contact surfaces and collaborations need to function well throughout the project.
