ValueOne is looking for a Purchaser (Operational Buyer) for the marine and cleantech industry for an interim assignment located north of Stockholm. The assignment starts immediately and runs until December 31, 2026. The assignment may lead to a permanent position with the client.

About the Role

As a Purchaser (Operational Buyer), you are responsible for the daily procurement activities within an assigned supplier portfolio and play a central role in ensuring an efficient and disruption-free supply chain. The role is part of the Supply Chain team and reports to the Head of Supply Chain, with close collaboration with production, strategic procurement, quality, and external suppliers.

• Manage the daily procurement activities for an assigned supplier portfolio, including monitoring and continuous improvement of replenishment parameters to ensure orders are placed on time.
• Ensure high availability of components, optimized inventory levels, and proactively resolve issues in the supply chain.
• Maintain correct procurement and supplier data in Excel and in the ERP system.
• Build close collaboration with suppliers and ensure continuous monitoring of delivery performance as well as efficient handling of discrepancies.
• Closely collaborate with internal teams (sourcing, production, quality, etc.) to ensure smooth Supply Chain operations.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and escalate risks as needed.
• Negotiate MOQs, pricing, and tactical costs (freight, service/packaging fees) for transactional suppliers.
• Contribute to improved working methods within procurement, focusing on processes, supplier performance, and overall efficiency in the supply chain.

Experience and Competence

We are looking for you with relevant experience in operational purchasing, tendering, or Supply Chain – preferably from the manufacturing industry – with documented ability to handle commercial disputes and negotiate tactical costs, good knowledge of different material categories (DM and IM), and a basic understanding of logistics and Incoterms. Merits include a bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, Supply Chain management, or similar, fluent English in speech and writing, strong Excel skills (formulas, data analysis), and experience with ERP/inventory systems.

We are looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented, and reliable person with a high ability to handle large transaction volumes and work in parallel across several categories. The role is part of the Supply Chain team and works closely with production, strategic procurement, R&D, and external suppliers, making excellent communication skills and a genuine team player mindset important attributes.
