We are now looking for a School Nurse for a 20% position within our student health services.
Your Role
The student health service's mission is to support students' development towards educational goals, primarily through health-promoting and preventive work. As a school nurse, you bring nursing competence and medical expertise as support in the work with students' learning.
You follow AcadeMedia's guidelines for medical interventions in student health and participate in the school's student health work by:
- identifying symptoms in students early during health conversations that may indicate a need for extra adjustments
- investigating and assessing the physical and mental health of individual students, sometimes as a basis for the school's investigation work together with the school doctor
- collaborating with others to increase knowledge about a healthy lifestyle among students and to serve as a support in related teaching
- contributing knowledge about risk and protective factors for students' health, social situation, and learning
- offering time for spontaneous visits where simpler healthcare interventions are provided
As a school nurse, you are part of the school's student health team and collaborate closely with school management, the Student Health Team (SHT), educators, guardians, and authorities outside the school. The role also involves participating in the school's development work as well as in the joint development and quality assurance work within medical student health. The work requires that you are secure in your professional role, can work independently, are proactive, and have a good ability to see opportunities in different situations.
As support in your work, you are part of AcadeMedia's network for school nurses, led by the Medical Operations Manager.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with specialist education as a school nurse, child health nurse, or district nurse. You are interested in working with preventive health work and further developing a modern school nurse role. You have a good approach, can build trust with young people, have a good ability to plan and prioritize while being flexible in situations that require it. If you have previous experience in health-promoting work with children and young people, we view this as very positive. Personal suitability is highly valued. Merit points are given if you have previous experience working as a school nurse in primary or upper secondary school.

With us, you naturally receive collective agreement benefits and insurances, as well as a generous wellness allowance, pension counseling, staff discounts, and the opportunity for favorable purchases through net and gross salary exchange.
