Description

As a psychologist at Kungälv Child and Adolescent Health Services, you have the opportunity to influence the school and future of children and young people. Your work is varied, developmental, and independent, with close access to other professions and good colleagues.

The Support Unit (Kungälv Central Child and Adolescent Health Services) works on behalf of the municipality's preschools, primary schools, and pedagogical care. The unit consists of two unit managers, school psychologists, counselors, school nurses, speech therapists, special educators with municipality-wide assignments, and the municipality's attendance team. At the Support Unit, we have broad competence and value interdisciplinary collaboration. Here, you will work with committed and experienced colleagues and contribute to developing child and adolescent health services. The Support Unit also plays a key role in competence-enhancing measures within preschool and pedagogical care, contributing to increased equity in the municipality.

Responsibilities

As a psychologist focused on preschool and pedagogical care, you work on behalf of the principal(s) and together with special educators, speech therapists, and your psychology colleague in child health. The work should primarily be preventive and health-promoting in nature, based on the Education Act, and should be carried out primarily at the group and organizational levels. The goal is to create a good environment for children, health, learning, and development. This may involve various types of competence-enhancing measures, consultation/coaching, providing support and advice, and various forms of collaboration, etc.

Qualifications

• Psychology education with psychologist licensure or a psychology degree pending the Professional Practice Training (PTP).
• Experience working within the school system is an advantage.
• Experience in psychological assessment work with children and adolescents is an advantage.
• High level of proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Valid B-driver's license and own car are required.
