About the company

Circulose is a textile recycling company with unique technology and a product – CIRCULOSE® – made from 100% textile waste, primarily cotton. The company's mission is to lead the transition to circular fashion by making large-scale textile recycling accessible.

About the role

The role involves responsibility for, or support in, several central parts of the company's environmental work. You ensure compliance with environmental regulations and work with environmental reporting as well as other authority reporting.

You are responsible for the work with self-control programs and the follow-up of environmental permits and current conditions. The role also includes handling and monitoring environmental deviations as well as work related to chemical and waste management.

Furthermore, you work with monitoring emissions to water and air, and plan and conduct environmental rounds and internal audits. You lead environmental risk assessments and contribute to identifying and reducing environmental impact in the operations.

The role also includes providing training and support to the organization in the environmental field, as well as driving and participating in improvement projects related to environment and sustainability.

About you

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• A university or civil engineering degree in environmental science, chemistry, sustainable development, or equivalent, or alternatively relevant education combined with experience from industrial operations.
• 2–5 years of experience in qualified environmental work, preferably from industry, process industry, or other permit-regulated operations.
• Experience with environmental reporting, self-control, and follow-up of environmental conditions, as well as work with authority contacts in the environmental field.
• Practical experience with environmental deviations, root cause analysis, and improvement work.
• Good knowledge of Swedish environmental legislation, especially the Environmental Code and the Self-Control Ordinance, as well as an understanding of how permit conditions are applied in practice.
• Strong analytical skills and habit of working systematically with data, measurements, documentation, and reporting requirements.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
• Good system proficiency, especially in Excel as well as relevant reporting and management systems.
