The Role

• You will work together with a library assistant at Tärnsjö Library, which also has evening opening hours 1–2 days a week.
• You share responsibility for planning and running the operations, as well as a portion of the library's joint administrative and IT-related tasks.
• The most important part of your assignment is to provide good service to our citizens and to work with reading promotion and literature mediation.
• You also have specific responsibility for purchasing, weeding (removing outdated materials), and interlibrary loans at your unit.

Flexibility is important to us; working at other municipal libraries occurs regularly.

Our public libraries are located in three places in the municipality: Heby, Tärnsjö, and Östervåla.

Is This You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has relevant education in library and information science.
• Is accustomed to taking responsibility and working independently, while also having good collaboration skills and thriving in a team.
• Is flexible, can work at multiple units if needed, is service-oriented, and enjoys meeting people.
• Has good IT skills and can work with our website, extract statistics, and manage social media.
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently, and preferably more languages.
• Has a Category B driver's license, as travel may occur in the role.
