Assistant Nurses Welcome to the Newly Established Specialized Housing Björkbacka

Do you want to be part of the foundation and shape the future of care and elderly services? We are now looking for assistant nurses who wish to work night shifts at our newly established housing facility, Björkbacka.

Why choose Björkbacka

After the summer, Björkbacka will open its doors. It is a housing facility with 14 apartments for specialized long-term care and short-term stays. Residents in specialized care live with us permanently, while short-term stays are for individuals staying with us for a period after hospitalization or during a changed home situation.

The facility is centrally located north of Björkbacka Park, with a bus stop right outside and only a short walk from the center of Östersund.

Working with us means an opportunity to help start up and develop a new housing facility from the ground up. You will have the chance to shape work methods, routines, and the work environment together with your colleagues.

In autumn 2028, a completely new building on Solliden is planned to be completed. The plan is for the operations at Björkbacka to move into these new premises on Solliden, giving you as an employee the opportunity to be part of the startup phase of this new building.

Your new job

As an assistant nurse at Björkbacka, you work with personal care and service during night shifts. You play a vital role in promoting physical, mental, and social health, as well as creating a secure living situation for our citizens.

You provide care based on each individual's needs and perform delegated health and medical care interventions, such as specific care and rehabilitation. Documentation in our operational systems is a natural and important part of your work.

You will become part of a team consisting of assistant nurses, care assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and a manager. Together, we build a high-quality operation with a strong focus on collaboration.

The positions are full-time, with the possibility of part-time employment. 70-80% of working hours are scheduled at the unit, while the remaining 20-30% may be planned in other operations within the Health and Care Administration. Working hours are during the night, and weekend work is included.
