About you

We are looking for an engaged study and career counselor to replace one of our colleagues. We are seeking someone with experience in study and career counseling who can guide our students in their educational and career choices. You are confident, socially skilled, outgoing, structured, and have a humanistic value base and a holistic view of the student. To thrive at Tibble, you must be flexible and see opportunities in both daily and long-term changes. You should be able to adapt your working methods to the needs of the operation to meet the students in the best possible way.

To be considered for the position, you must have a degree as a study and career counselor and be able to present your degree certificate.

Your responsibilities

The study and career counselor's responsibilities include guidance, administration, follow-up, marketing, collaboration, and competence development. The purpose of the assignment is to support students in handling questions regarding study and career choices based on the student's own prerequisites. The study plan is a central tool for planning and following up on the student's education. You work with study and career counseling and the school's overall responsibility together with the school's two other study and career counselors. Each counselor is responsible for a specific program and manages the admissions process for it. We work according to an annual calendar and continuously evaluate all interventions.

You offer individual counseling sessions aimed at broadening the student's perspective on both their own prerequisites and different educations and professions, while challenging the student's preconceptions about educations and professions regarding gender, social, and cultural background. In groups, you actively work on choice competence and self-knowledge in the classes and conduct career guidance lessons to support students in their choices. Contact with students, guardians, and colleagues is seen as a natural part of your daily work.

At Tibble, you as a study counselor are involved in the school's student health work. As a study counselor, you have close cooperation with Student Health Services, teachers, school management, and other staff. You follow up on knowledge results and develop strategies together with mentors, the principal, and the student health team for individual students and groups of students to reach their goals.

The position is full-time permanent employment, starting in August. (6-month probationary period). Tibble has a collective agreement with Almega.
