Vamas plays a key role in the municipality's long-term development. We have a major responsibility to ensure good public services and a sustainable environment. In this position, you will work broadly with waste and recycling in a combined role as both a vehicle driver and a recycling worker. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and transport of waste, as well as performing maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep at our recycling stations. The work is varied and covers several aspects of waste management and recycling. Your base will be in Sälen, but you will also work across the entire municipality and support other collection areas as needed. You will become part of an engaged team that drives and develops our waste management services together. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating side-loaders and rear-loaders.
• Collection and transport of waste.
• Work at the recycling center.
• Cleaning and maintenance of recycling stations.
• Customer contact.
• Daily supervision and safe handling of vehicles and equipment.
• Opportunity to learn about different recycling processes and technologies.
• Participate in developing operations and routines.

• Is hands-on and practical.

• Has a Category C driver's license and YKB (professional competence certificate for drivers).
• Has a digital driver card.
• Has good computer skills.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have a Category CE driver's license.
• Have an operator's license for wheel loaders.
• Have a professional certificate for vehicle-mounted cranes over 18 ton-meters.
• Have experience driving vehicles with crane-mounted loaders.
• Have experience driving waste collection vehicles, such as side-loaders and rear-loaders.
• Have ADR certification and 'Work on the Road' certification.
