About us:

STT (Svenljunga & Tranemo Tidning) has a strong history and tradition in the municipalities of Svenljunga and Tranemo. The newspaper is distributed free of charge to all households in the area and is among the free newspapers in Sweden with the widest reach. The newspaper has a strong foundation and is appreciated by readers – but now we want to take the next step and become even better.

About the role:

As News Editor, you will have a central role on the editorial team. You combine leadership with working as a reporter with high productivity. You will drive both daily operations and long-term development.

You will:

• Work as a reporter and write articles yourself
• Coach, support, and develop reporters in their work
• Drive the development of our journalism and content
• Lead the editorial planning and chair meetings
• Keep an overview of the news landscape and the editorial team's work

We are looking for you who:

• Have several years of experience working at a local newspaper
• Are a sharp journalist with a strong sense for news
• Have good knowledge of municipal coverage
• Are skilled at finding angles and clarifying what is important to the reader
• Are a confident and communicative leader who can develop others
• Easily collaborate and build trust
