Skogsängsskolan is a modern and multicultural municipal primary/lower secondary school (Grades F-9) in Salem with just over 500 students. Our guiding words – safety, community, and learning – permeate the entire operation. We work with IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools), a research-based development work that strengthens classroom leadership, creates clear expectations, and a positive school climate. With our outdoor profile, students get a classroom without walls, with experiences such as paddling, cooking in outdoor kitchens, hiking, and overnight stays in forest and archipelago environments.

Job Description

As a special education teacher with us, you will investigate, map, and document support needs, mentor our educators in their daily work, and provide support during investigations and action plans. You are an important cog in our student health team, which consists of a counselor, psychologist, school nurse, special education teachers, other special education teachers, and school leadership. You also have close cooperation with guardians and other networks around the student. You will also teach students in need of special support individually or in small groups if the need arises.

The assignment also includes participating in the school's systematic quality work and driving this forward in connection with the role as a special educator.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a special education teacher and have experience working with students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).

Experience with the documentation system ProReNata and familiarity with collaborating with external actors such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), Rehabilitation Services, Social Services, and LSS (Support and Service Act) are meritorious.

If you have experience working with visual support, it is meritorious. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
