Your new role as CEO

In your role as CEO, you will be ultimately responsible for leading and planning the company's operations, economy, and future investments, as well as coordinating development with the municipality's overarching planning. You combine strategic direction with operational execution, thereby contributing to the development and added value of what we already have in place. You take responsibility for employees, customers, and sustainability, and through trust and dialogue, you create good conditions for employees to work towards the company's goals and vision. You are expected to be a visible and driving leader who inspires and builds trusting relationships both internally and externally. The company has approximately 260 employees, of whom 4 report directly to the CEO. The position is located in Skellefteå, and the start date is estimated for autumn 2026.

Who are you?

You have extensive strategic leadership experience, including responsibility for finance and results. We prefer that you have a relevant university degree. You have good experience in leading other managers and broad financial understanding. You have driven development and change work with proven good results. If you are also knowledgeable about sustainability issues and have experience from the logistics and/or transport industry, we consider this a merit. The role requires that you can express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

You are a confident, clear, and present leader with a genuine interest in societal development. You create involvement through trust and delegated responsibility, and have the ability to engage and motivate your employees to contribute and develop together. You are communicative and relationship-oriented and have a natural aptitude for collaboration. You have a strategic and world-oriented approach, as well as the ability to make well-founded decisions and drive work forward with both courage and endurance. Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities.

Municipality-owned Skellefteå Buss operates public transport in Skellefteå, including city traffic and parts of the county's line traffic.
