Kiruna Health Centre, with around 50 employees making a difference for the approximately 15,700 registered patients. Kiruna Health Centre has introduced several new working methods to increase accessibility for citizens and has an exciting future ahead. We collaborate closely across the entire unit and work together towards Region Norrbotten's vision. We want to develop care for the elderly in the municipality and are therefore looking for a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine. We welcome you to our wonderful team! Here, you are involved in everyday work and play an important role in the development of the entire health centre.
Who we are looking for
We are now looking for you who are a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine and preferably have experience from primary care. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. To thrive in this role, you are stable and calm in clinically challenging situations and have good communication skills with patients, even during difficult conversations. You communicate clearly, follow up on your work, and ensure that messages are received and that relevant parties understand what is expected of them. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of the professional aspects of the work, continuously update your knowledge, and are a knowledge resource for others. You adapt easily to changing circumstances, can change your perspective and approach, and see opportunities in changes.
What you will work with
As a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine, you work independently with the elderly patient in focus. Your working day is varied. You work with your own clinic and also work towards the elderly by visiting municipal nursing homes. We wish for you to develop geriatric care together with us. Supervision of trainee doctors is included in the role.

Information about the position
We are now offering a permanent full-time position. Working hours are during the day, Monday–Friday. Start date according to agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.
Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.
