About the position

The position involves representing the Commander of K 3 in the regiment's work regarding preventive environmental and sustainability efforts. The position is placed under the Garrison Unit and involves ongoing contact with all operators within the garrison. As the Environmental Administrator, you are responsible for coordinating all environmental work for which K 3 is responsible. The majority of the work is performed in an office environment, but the role also includes supporting exercises with combat units and other outdoor follow-up of the area of responsibility. The employment includes business travel with overnight stays, occasional evening and weekend duty, and war-time placement in the Swedish Armed Forces' war organization. You will independently lead meetings and planning groups, as well as conduct presentations in larger forums.

Main tasks

  • Represent the regiment in environmental matters.
  • Coordinate necessary contacts with supervisory authorities, other agencies, and civilian contacts.
  • Coordinate the unit's preventive environmental and sustainability work.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Education in the environmental field or other education deemed equivalent by the employer, with a university degree.
  • Competence acquired through work experience in the environmental field.
  • Good skills in oral and written expression in Swedish.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Class B driver's license.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.

Personal qualities

The nature of the position requires your administrative ability and the ability to independently manage and drive the area of responsibility. Furthermore, you are a team player who, together with others in the garrison, is responsible for all long-term environmental development and sustainability planning at the regiment. To succeed in the role of Environmental Administrator, you need to act independently and outwardly, while valuing contact with a large number of people affected by your area of responsibility. You should feel confident in training others and guiding managers within your area of responsibility.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

QUALIFYING

  • Knowledge of environmental work with broad experience from various types of environmentally hazardous operations and their legal prerequisites.
  • Experience of project work.
  • Experience of working with chemical issues.
  • Experience of physical planning, preferably regarding noise issues.
  • Experience of work within area protection according to Chapter 7 of the Environmental Code.
  • Experience from service within the Swedish Armed Forces or another defense agency.

Employment type: The position is civilian. The service is a permanent position and begins with a probationary period of 6 months for new hires.

----------The Life Regiment of Hussars, K 3, has fast and powerful units and long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a Jäger Battalion and an Intelligence Battalion. The Jäger Battalion is a highly mobile unit designed to be first on the scene during an operation. The Intelligence Battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, ground personnel, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).

At K 3, you will also find the Swedish Armed Forces' Survival School and the Flying Unit, which are responsible for remotely piloted aircraft systems and military parachute service. The support functions, the Garrison Unit and the Logistics Unit, are also located here.
