About the Company

WBAB is the municipal company that ensures daily life runs smoothly – literally. They work with everything from clean tap water to safe sewage solutions and smart waste management for the residents of Ludvika and Smedjebacken. As an important community builder, they simply make life a little easier, a little cleaner, and much more sustainable. Around 90 employees work with pipe networks, drinking water production, sewage treatment, waste collection, as well as the operation of recycling centers and stations. The company is owned by the two municipalities together, and the management office and customer service are located in Smedjebacken.

Your Responsibilities

We are currently looking for summer staff for waste collection assignments during selected summer weeks in the municipalities of Ludvika and Smedjebacken. The work takes place during the day and involves practical fieldwork.

This assignment is a great fit for someone, for example, studying transport or who is a fully trained truck driver. During the summer job, you will be out on routes, helping with emptying bins and other tasks related to daily operations. The work is physical and suits you if you enjoy being active and working practically outdoors.

As a summer employee, we are looking for someone who is responsible, has good work ethics, and enjoys contributing to an important public service.

Your Profile

As a person, you are easy to get along with, enjoy working with others, and take responsibility for your work. You are flexible, have a positive attitude, and appreciate physical work where days can vary. Safety and good customer service are important to you.

For this job, we would appreciate if you have some form of education or experience in transport or trucks. YKB (Swedish waste management certificate) is desirable but not a requirement. A Category C driver's license and digital tachograph card are meritorious. You need to be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have basic computer skills. Since the work is physical, you need to be in good physical shape.

Previous experience from similar work or an interest in vehicles and technology is a plus, but not a must.
