To ensure that all animals in Sweden have the conditions to live as good a life as possible, the District Veterinarians are here. With 24/7 on-call service, clinics across the country, and unique knowledge of animal health, we contribute to healthier animals and a more secure life. As district veterinarians, we work on behalf of private individuals, companies, and authorities. We offer essential services for emergency animal care, disease control, and preventive measures for good animal health. Always with our feet on the ground and our hearts in the right place. The District Veterinarians are part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.

The clinic in Rimbo is characterized by dedicated, friendly, and knowledgeable colleagues who together create a good and open work climate. Currently, we consist of 9 veterinarians, one animal caretaker, and one licensed veterinary nurse. The clinic is located in Rimbo, north of Stockholm and east of Uppsala. The area is characterized by agricultural landscapes and forested areas.

Job Responsibilities

As part of our team at District Veterinarians Rimbo, you will have interesting and varied days. Some days you will have scheduled visits, and other days you will work with our emergency services. In the field, we care for horses, cattle, sheep, and goats, which suits you if you have a great interest in all types of large animals. We have mobile X-ray and ultrasound for large animals and a modest small animal practice that is under development.

On-call duty is a natural part of the job as a veterinarian with us. We have a well-thought-out scheduling model for on-call duties that gives you a good opportunity for recovery.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a Swedish veterinary license or temporary authorization. We see that you are engaged, value good service and good customer relations, and work for the best of the team towards common goals.

Our operations consist mainly of horses and farm animals, but also some small animal practice. For this position, we see that you have a special interest in horses and farm animals. Since we work largely with emergency care, a good eye for prioritization and planning is required. The position includes on-call duty for all animal species.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability, social competence, and good teamwork skills! Previous experience working with horses and farm animals is meritorious.

  • Requirement of a B-driver's license.
  • Fluency in Swedish in both writing and speech.
  • Start date according to agreement.
