Job Description

The assignment concerns a senior project manager who will play a central role in leading the operational and daily work within a newly formed development team responsible for the Swedish Police Authority's central AI initiative. The role entails overall responsibility for coordinating, structuring, and driving the team's work forward in close collaboration with both business representatives and other teams within the IT department.

You will be responsible for leading and coordinating the team's activities, ensuring progress in deliveries, and contributing to establishing the group's working methods in a developing business environment.

The assignment also includes acting as a key link between the business and the development team, where the consultant is expected to capture needs, prioritize activities, and ensure that AI initiatives create business value. The role therefore involves ongoing dialogue with various stakeholders and requirement owners within the organization. In addition to well-developed requirements and ongoing planning, in-depth coordination with our legal and security department will be required to ensure the IT security and legal aspects of our newly developed capabilities.

Beyond operational leadership, the assignment also includes close support to the responsible group manager. This may, for example, include support within recruitment, onboarding, methodology development, establishment of working methods, competence development, and activities related to team development.

The consultant is expected to contribute to creating structure and long-term sustainability in the team's work, as well as supporting the development of a sustainable and efficient organization around the AI area. The assignment places high demands on leadership, collaboration skills, communication, and the ability to work in changing and complex environments.

The work will be conducted in a new organizational unit and during a period where both the business and the IT department's organization are undergoing change, and models for our collaboration are being revised, which will require a good understanding of business development and a high degree of flexibility.

Qualifications (Required):

  • The consultant must have at least 9 years of documented experience working as a project manager within the IT sector.
  • The consultant must have experience leading assignments within business and/or organizational development.
  • The consultant must have experience working in complex organizations with multiple parallel initiatives and dependencies.
  • The consultant must have good proficiency in spoken and written Swedish.

Desirable Competencies (Preferred):

  • The consultant should have experience working in security-classified operations.
  • The consultant should have experience working within AI projects.
  • The consultant should have experience working within the public sector.
  • The consultant should have experience working as a direct-level manager.
