Friday is now recruiting on behalf of our client for a Junior Project Manager in the defense industry. Here you will have an important role in material budgeting and offer calculations for projects related to submarines and surface ships. You will become part of a technically advanced and socially vital operation where structure, precision, and collaboration are crucial.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In the role of Junior Project Manager, you will work with creating, developing, and monitoring material budgets and calculations in both new and ongoing projects. You will become a central part of the purchasing and project organization and work closely with several functions such as procurement, finance, legal, production, and engineering.

You will also contribute to developing and improving processes for how material budgets are created, used, and monitored within the organization. The role involves significant personal responsibility, where you independently drive your work forward and continuously report status to relevant stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities:

• Create and develop material budgets and offer calculations for new projects
• Monitor material budgets for ongoing projects
• Develop processes and improve the conditions for how budgets are created and handled
• Possibly be responsible for index calculations in supplier agreements

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Have a Master of Science degree in Industrial Economics or equivalent education, preferably with a technical focus
• Have at least 1 year of experience from a similar role, for example within project management, production preparation, supply planning, or another role focused on planning and monitoring
• Have very good knowledge of Excel and experience working with calculations, data, and monitoring
• Have good communication skills and thrive in a role with many interfaces
• Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
• Have strong initiative and a desire to develop in the role

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where the client has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
