Under-Specialist in Dermatology and Venereology – Gävle Skin Clinic

The Skin Clinic in Gävle is located in Tullhuset, just a few minutes' walk from the central station. We operate both outpatient clinics and ambulatory surgical services, and we are a modern, well-equipped clinic handling large patient volumes. Around 40 employees work here, including doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, and medical secretaries. We also have branches in Sandviken, Bollnäs, Söderhamn, Hudiksvall, and Ljusdal. Together, we actively work on development to meet future healthcare needs.

Job Responsibilities

We are at the forefront of teledermatoscopy and dermatology, with high ambitions regarding inflammatory skin diseases, skin tumors, and venereology. We run a well-developed clinic and surgical service and have established cooperation with primary care via teledermatoscopic assessments, as well as with pathology, surgery, ENT, and oncology departments for the continued flow of skin tumor cases.

You will work independently but as part of a multidisciplinary team with other professional categories to provide high-quality and comprehensive care for our patients. Patient safety, working environment, and competence development are highly prioritized for us.

As an Under-Specialist (Resident/Consultant level depending on context, typically 'Underläkare' in Sweden refers to a doctor in specialist training or a junior consultant), you will work with:

• Patient consultations regarding both dermatology and venereology.

Qualifications

You are a licensed physician with experience working with skin and sexually transmitted diseases in a hospital clinic setting. We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who thrives working closely with other professions in a team. You are flexible and adapt easily to changing conditions in a constantly developing operation. Furthermore, you have strong problem-solving skills and work solution-focused by identifying needs and contributing to sustainable solutions in daily work.

As a person, you have high integrity and act professionally, judiciously, and with a trust-inspiring attitude when meeting patients, colleagues, and partners.

In the role of Under-Specialist, you must:

• Hold a Swedish medical license.
• Have previous experience working in a skin clinic.
• Be able to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing, at least at C1 level.

The advertised positions are part of an initiative to increase accessibility and primarily involve clinic work. We offer a fixed-term appointment for 6 months within dermatology and venereology.
