Work at Kapitelhusgården during Medieval Week – a magical experience!

Kapitelhusgården is a medieval-inspired restaurant located in a 13th-century house in the heart of Visby's old town. Here, the guest and the experience are at the center – through food, drink, and interaction with our dedicated staff, we create an atmosphere where every visit becomes more than just a meal.

During Medieval Week (week 32), our operations expand into a vibrant festival venue featuring a restaurant, courses, concerts, a market, and food and drink sales throughout the day. Therefore, we are now looking for more fantastic team members who want to be part of the magical atmosphere and work behind the scenes during the year's most exciting week!

We operate from early morning until late evening and are looking for staff for several different roles:

The Day Team:

Prep Cooks (start at 07:00) who prepare large quantities of the day's ingredients.

Dishwashing & Cleaning in the morning and afternoon to keep the courtyard inviting.

Bartenders and Grillers for the market and grill, which opens at 12:00.

The Evening Team:

Experienced Waitstaff for our three dining halls – we are looking for you with experience in serving and cash handling, accustomed to a fast pace and able to handle a lively festival environment.

Bartenders for our three bars on the courtyard.

Head Grillers to keep the grill running until 01:00.

Dishwashers and Runners who ensure everything flows smoothly.

Hosts to welcome visitors and keep an eye on the courtyard.

In total, there are around 30 people working each evening, and we are always ready to help each other by stepping in where needed. Flexibility is crucial – you may be placed in a different dining hall or bar than scheduled if needed to resolve the evening smoothly, but we communicate about any changes together to ensure everyone feels secure.

Many in our team return year after year, regardless of position. This creates a wonderful sense of community and helps us become tightly knit quickly, even when we bring in new colleagues. We prefer that you work at least 4 shifts.

We are looking for someone who:

✔️ Has joy, creativity, and a sense for service – you like creating a great experience for guests!

✔️ Is communicative, solution-oriented, and flexible – we help each other and collaborate to create a magical week.

✔️ Is accustomed to a lively festival environment and can handle schedule changes with short notice.

✔️ Is a team player – we have fun together, and it shows to the guests!

✔️ Has experience, if you are applying for a serving role.

✔️ Is over 18 years old (for most roles).

Previous experience in restaurants, bars, or service is a plus, but most important is your attitude and willingness to contribute to the community.
