Your Role
As a Tool Designer at Aerospace Systems, you will have the opportunity to develop tools used for the assembly of the T-7A. The role involves responsibility for creating robust and sustainable solutions that meet high demands for quality, safety, and productivity in a paced production environment.
You will play a central role in the development of tools for the T-7 program, working closely with production, design, product design, procurement, suppliers, and external partners. Your mission is to create tool solutions that are both technically advanced and long-term sustainable, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and safe production.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Creating concepts and developing 2D and 3D documentation.
- Managing requirements based on buildability, ergonomics, customer needs, and production technology.
- Reviewing colleagues' documentation and ensuring high quality.
- Investigating and implementing new technology.
- Maintaining standards and documentation for tool and production processes.
The role can be shaped according to your experience and interests, and you will have the opportunity to work on both small and large projects, with the potential to grow into a leading role.
Your Profile
We are looking for a person with an analytical and methodical approach to work, good collaboration skills, and knowledge of CAD, preferably CATIA. The role requires very good English skills and may involve security clearance checks and potentially citizenship requirements.
In this role, we expect you to have:
- An engineering degree at the university level with a focus on design, production technology, or equivalent work experience. Relevant work experience can in some cases substitute formal education.
- Several years of work experience is meritorious but not a requirement. Analytical and constructive mindset with good ability to collaborate across departments.
- Curious, social, and methodical in your approach to work.
- Good CAD skills; experience with CATIA is meritorious.
- Very good proficiency in English, as the role involves international collaboration.
- The role requires security clearance according to current regulations, and certain positions may entail citizenship requirements.
The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may in some cases entail specific citizenship requirements.
