About the role

In the role of System Architect, you are responsible for putting the whole picture together – how different subsystems interact, how information is prioritized, and how the architecture is designed to meet extreme requirements for robustness, security, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define system architecture and interfaces
• Establish structure and technical requirements for autonomous systems
• Ensure robust communication between subsystems
• Collaborate with developers, project management, and external parties
• Contribute to technical trade-offs and long-term architectural decisions

You work closely with both development teams and technical management. The role is central and has a significant impact on how the systems are designed and further developed over time.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in system development and/or system architecture
• M.Sc. in Engineering (Civilingenjör)
• Experience working with complex technical systems
• Ability to take technical leadership and make architectural decisions

Preferred qualifications

• Background in aviation, defense, or safety-critical systems
• Experience in technical system leadership
• Ability to communicate and defend technical trade-offs in complex forums
