Your Role
As a specialist assistant nurse in dementia care, you are a key person in the work of developing, ensuring quality, and driving daily care forward. In this role, you participate in the planning, coordination, and follow-up of daily work and actively contribute to the development of the operations. You mentor colleagues and support their professional development, while also initiating and leading improvement work related to routines and working methods. Your duties also include close collaboration with nurses, unit managers, and other professions, as well as maintaining a continuous and trusting dialogue with relatives. Working hours are during daytime, Monday to Friday.
Description of the Workplace
Åsgården is a care and support residence with a total of 57 places, distributed across three group homes for people with dementia. There is also a short-term care facility with 12 places. The different units of the operation work closely together, creating good conditions for both secure and quality care and a supportive and positive work climate.
We have staff on duty around the clock. A nurse is on-site during daytime on weekdays, and municipal nurses are available at other times. The work is based on IBIC (Individualized Person-centered Care), where we place great emphasis on individual adaptation, participation, and quality in every intervention.
At our facility, daily life is characterized by a person-centered approach where recognition, security, and meaningful moments are in focus. In the team, engaged assistant nurses, nurses, rehabilitation staff, coordinators, and managers work together to create the best possible quality of life for the residents.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse with a protected professional title and further education as a specialist assistant nurse in dementia care. You have experience working in short-term care and/or dementia residences, as well as experience working according to BPSD (Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia). If you also have experience in mentoring and improvement work within care and support, we view this very positively.
You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is an advantage if you can also provide support to relatives in English. A Category B driver's license is desirable but not mandatory.
As a person, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening and flexible manner. You build good relationships through openness and dialogue and contribute to a well-functioning collaboration, both within your own unit and with other partners. You have the ability to lead, motivate, and support others in working towards common goals, as well as coordinate groups and serve as a natural reference point in the operation. Through your engagement, you create participation and job satisfaction. You are communicative and ensure that messages are conveyed and that expectations are clear for all involved.
