Some of our employees are moving on to new assignments, and we need to complement our team. We are looking for flexible and engaged assistant nurses who can and want to make a difference for our elderly residents. Apply today!
Welcome to us!
Krokom Municipality currently has five home care areas: Krokom, Ås, Nälden, Offerdal, Föllinge, as well as a night organization. We are currently recruiting for the Ås and Krokom areas, which are planned to be merged with the Nälden home care area in the future. The home care service in Krokom Municipality is facing an important operational change. You now have the opportunity to help build a modern home care service together with your new managers and colleagues.
The home care service is part of the Social Services Administration, which consists of 600 employees with a broad range of tasks. The administration is divided into five operational areas and is present throughout the municipality. Here, responsibility lies in providing care and support, assistance and service, as well as health and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life.
A day as an assistant nurse in Krokom Municipality
You will work with providing care and support to individuals based on their own needs and conditions. Our key words are close, brave, welcoming, and reliable. We believe that open, respectful, and active communication plays a central role in nursing care and is the foundation for a good work environment.
Our operations run day and night, both weekdays and weekends. Duties include, among other things, medical care, simple cooking, help with hygiene, and outdoor activities. In your work, you are a guest in the individual's home, and we always work under strict confidentiality.
Central planning is located in Krokom. We have close cooperation with social workers, district nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. Every other week, the different professions and home care staff meet in team meetings. You will be the primary contact person for a few care recipients together with a colleague.
The work also involves documentation according to the Social Services Act and the Health and Medical Services Act. We use systems such as Viva, APPVA, Intraphone, and other operational systems. Therefore, it is important that our employees have good verbal and written skills in Swedish.
We have a goal of "digital first," which means that we primarily offer our care recipients digital solutions where possible, such as medication reminders, GPS watches, night cameras, and digital key systems. The purpose is increased independence and healthier elderly people. Therefore, it is important that our employees have an interest in digital solutions and actively work to enable healthier elderly people.
We want you to feel secure when you start working with us and offer an introduction for new employees. A car is used on all tours during the day where there is a need for it, and the home care service uses modern four-wheel-drive vehicles that can handle all weather conditions. We use TimeCare Planning as our scheduling system and currently have schedules in four-week periods.

Krokom, the municipality in the middle of Jämtland
Krokom Municipality's borders stretch from the shores of Lake Storsjön in the south, to the vast and wild mountains in the north, and in the east, the large forests of the northern interior take over. Here live just over 15,700 inhabitants, in the middle of Jämtland County, with proximity to good communications to the rest of Sweden. Here there are fantastic opportunities for a rich cultural and outdoor life. People move here and want to stay, because here life itself takes place. The municipality is part of the Sami administrative area, which means we work to strengthen the Sami language, make the culture visible, and give the Sami people influence.
