Foucaultgymnasiet is Södertälje Municipality's adapted upper secondary school. We have approximately 70 students distributed across national and individual programs. This autumn, our national programs will move into Torekällgymnasiet's facilities to become part of Torekällgymnasiet's organization from January 2027.

At Foucaultgymnasiet, we believe that student health begins in the classroom. We have a well-developed student health work where all professional categories collaborate for the student's learning and well-being. You will be teaching in our national vocational programs.

You will collaborate closely with student assistants to offer students adaptations and support based on their abilities. Social and communicative skills are highly valued.

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a PE teacher who plans and conducts physical education lessons that are adapted and accessible in a motivating environment where all students feel safe and included.

Who are you?

Requirements:

• Teaching certification with qualifications in Physical Education and Health

Qualifications that are meritorious:

• Special Education Teacher with a focus on intellectual disability
• Training in low-arousal approach (low-affective approach)
• Experience working in adapted upper secondary schools or adapted primary schools

Personal qualities:

As a teacher at an adapted upper secondary school, you need to be accustomed to adapting the school day to the students' needs and daily condition. You have high relational competence and are a secure person with great personal maturity who has experience working from a low-arousal approach. You see the students' ability to develop as something natural and you see opportunities instead of obstacles. You want to take on the challenge of following students with different pedagogical needs and leading each one towards increased knowledge and independence. As you will collaborate with several different professional categories, your ability to communicate and collaborate is important. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
