We are now looking for a Technical Sales Representative for our PTT Business Unit (Power Transfer Technology) – a role where you combine technology, customer relations, and business development in an expanding Nordic market area.

About the role

As a Technical Sales Representative at Mersen, you will have a significant role in driving and developing our customer relationships in the Nordic market. You will work closely with customers within the process industry, rail transport, and energy production, where you analyze needs, present solutions, and ensure that our products and services create tangible value in our customers' operations.

A central part of the role is to represent and develop the business around our technical solutions in power transfer, such as:

  • CCD-shoes (Current Collector Device shoes)
  • Current Collector Devices / 3rd rail units
  • Pantograph contact strips
  • Earth return current units

The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in sales, marketing, technology, and production, giving you good opportunities to contribute to both customer benefit and our continued growth in the region. You will be involved in the entire sales process, from first contact to final deal, and play a key part in further developing Mersen's position in the Nordic market.

Your main responsibilities

In your daily work, you are responsible for developing our existing customer relationships while actively pursuing new potential customers in the market. You initiate contact through calls, meetings, and digital channels, and give presentations both during physical visits and online.

The role also involves visiting customers at their production facilities, where you may perform simple practical inspections, including "hands-on" work as part of the job.

You drive the quotation process from inquiry to follow-up in the CRM system, ensuring that both the customer and the company get the best possible deal. Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar is therefore advantageous. When preparing orders, you collaborate with our Customer Care unit and use business systems to ensure correct documentation, especially for more complex solutions, making familiarity with business systems like JDE, SAP, or similar a benefit.

We are looking for someone who has

  • A few years of experience in B2B sales of technical products/solutions – preferably towards rail transport, process industry, or the energy sector
  • Alternatively, a background as a service technician or similar, with customer contact and a desire to take the step into sales
  • A technical upper secondary education
  • An understanding of customer needs and the ability to ask the right questions
  • Analytical and business acumen – you can see solutions that benefit both the customer and the company
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • A valid driver's license (Category B)

As a person, you are driven to move processes forward and appreciate being involved in the entire business from the first dialogue to the conclusion. You are receptive, empathetic, and have an easy time understanding customer needs, while also having a natural ability to communicate and build trust both internally and externally. You thrive in cross-functional collaboration, take ownership of your business, and have a positive, solution-oriented approach that contributes to good relationships and successful results.

We see no obstacle to remote work and are therefore flexible regarding your place of residence. However, we prefer applicants from central and southern parts of middle Sweden (Östergötland, Närke, Västmanland, Västergötland, Uppland).

Since the work involves customers across the entire Nordic region, the role entails approximately 50-60 overnight stays per year. You should therefore have a private situation that allows for business travel.
