About the Area Sales Manager Role

As an Area Sales Manager at STIGAB, you are responsible for developing sales within your district in West Sweden, focusing on long-term customer relationships and customer-specific technical solutions. The role is characterized by close collaboration with customers' design and development departments, where you identify needs and, together with the customer and suppliers, develop solutions that meet the appropriate technical level.

Through regular customer visits, you develop and follow up on existing relationships, while actively identifying new potential customers and business opportunities. The work is largely project-based with longer sales cycles involving multiple parties, requiring structure, patience, and good follow-through throughout the process.

You collaborate closely with internal functions and suppliers to drive business from need to finished solution, focusing on meeting customer requirements. You will be based out of STIGAB's office in Huddinge, together with the rest of the team.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for and develop existing customer relationships within your district in West Sweden.
  • Plan and conduct customer visits and develop new business opportunities.
  • Lead technical dialogues with customers, primarily designers and development departments.
  • Drive quotation work and follow up on ongoing customer-specific projects.
  • Collaborate with internal functions and suppliers throughout the business process.

About You

To succeed in the role of Area Sales Manager, we are looking for someone who is confident in a sales role and has a technical background. Perhaps you have worked as a technician or designer before your sales career, or simply have a strong technical interest. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has a good ability to lead technical dialogues, understand needs, and translate them into solutions. You are fluent in Swedish and have good English skills in both speech and writing. A B-driver's license and good computer skills are required.

As a person, we are looking for someone who is relationship-building and has a strong drive to develop long-term customer relationships and business over time. You thrive in a technical and consultative sales role where you independently identify and drive business opportunities in customer-specific processes. You are structured and self-starting in your work approach and have an easy time building trust in dialogues with customers and suppliers. If you also have a positive mindset and value teamwork and knowledge sharing, you will fit well at STIGAB!

Important for the role:

  • Technical background or strong technical interest.
  • You are a confident seller of technical solutions.
  • Ability to understand the customer's technical needs and translate them into solutions.
  • Fluent Swedish and good English in speech and writing.
  • B-driver's license and good computer skills.

Meritorious:

  • Experience from industry, component sales, or technical trading.
  • Experience working with engineers or development departments.
  • Previous experience as a designer.
