Gemkom Engineering and Machinery Filial is a newly established branch of the Turkish company Gemkom. It is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that operates in a number of areas and in various ways within the steel industry.

We are participating in a project where Stegra AB establishes a steel mill in Norra Svartbyn in Boden where steel will be produced through an almost fossil-free process using hydrogen gas. Our mission is, among other things, to install machines used in steel production and includes work in mechanics, electronics and plumbing.

We now want to employ Insulators. The work tasks may include but are not limited to:

Job Description

· Install thermal and acoustic insulation on pipes, ducts, tanks, and equipment.

· Measure, cut, shape, and fit insulation materials according to specifications.

· Apply metal cladding and protective finishes to insulated surfaces.

· Read and follow technical drawings, isometric sketches, and work instructions.

· Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

· Inspect insulation work to ensure proper fit and quality standards.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

· Follow all company safety procedures and site regulations.

· Report material shortages, defects, or safety concerns to supervisors.

· Assist with loading, unloading, and handling insulation materials.

Desirable qualifications (not mandatory)

· Previous experience as an Insulator in construction, industrial, or oil & gas projects preferred.

· Knowledge of insulation materials, cladding systems, and installation techniques.

· Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.

· Good manual dexterity and physical fitness.

· Familiarity with safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Trade certification or vocational training is an advantage.
