Klara Gymnasium Östra is looking for a teacher in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) and Social Studies!

Working as a teacher at Klara Theoretical Gymnasium means being part of a school that truly sees and puts the student at the center. We call this "edyoucation" – an approach that focuses on theoretical knowledge and on developing students' personal skills, social competence, and emotional intelligence. As a teacher with us, you have the opportunity to be a key player in this development, where your contribution helps motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential.

Klara Gymnasium Östra in Stockholm is an independent upper secondary school located at Gärdet, with approximately 700 students (LÅ26/27) and around 45 employees. The school was founded in 2012 and offers three university-preparatory programs: Economics, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences. We are a multicultural school, welcoming students from the entire Stockholm area with diverse educational backgrounds.

What we are looking for

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA) and Social Studies for a longer-term substitute position. This is a 100% position starting in August 2026 and running through January 2028.

At KLARA, we are convinced that a secure, encouraging, and direct communication is the foundation for a positive learning environment. We also believe that your work is not just about imparting knowledge, but about helping every student navigate life with confidence and responsibility. Here, you coach students to succeed in their studies and motivate them for what the future has to offer. You should be interested in working in a multicultural environment and have experience working with multilingual students and using language-developing methods.

You will, among other things, be part of a program team and a subject team, so you preferably have an interest in teamwork and contributing to collegial learning. Mentoring will be included in the role.

What we offer you

Being part of our team also means working in an environment that prioritizes the development of both you and the students. We offer a secure and supportive work environment where your ideas and creativity are highly valued.

As a school within AcadeMedia, we offer our employees continuous competence development through AcadeMedia Academy, as well as internal and external professional development.
