The Role of Midwife

Welcome to the small Women's Clinic with big opportunities! We are looking for a midwife who wishes to rotate between two of our departments. We provide women's health care, youth clinics, specialized maternity care, fetal medicine clinic, gynecological care unit and clinic, as well as delivery and neonatal services. Based on your experience and preferences, we can tailor a position that suits both you and our operations.

A large part of our operations takes place at Högland Hospital in Eksjö, but the women's health clinics and youth clinics are located at family centers in Aneby, Tranås, Nässjö, Vetlanda, Sävsjö, and Eksjö. As a midwife with us, you are offered stimulating and varied work. The role may involve both independent work and teamwork. The position includes irregular working hours with corresponding working time reduction. This means shifts during the day and evening, as well as weekend shifts. There is also the possibility to work exclusively on weekends, where full-time corresponds to 28 hours per week.

The position is permanent, and one of the two rotations must be in delivery. Start date and percentage of employment are negotiable. The structure of the rotational position is determined based on operational needs.

The Women's Clinic provides women's health care, youth clinics, specialized maternity care, fetal medicine clinic, gynecological care unit and clinic, as well as delivery and neonatal services. Based on your experience and preferences, we can tailor a position that suits both you and our operations. A large part of our operations takes place at Högland Hospital in Eksjö, but the women's health clinics/youth clinics are located at six family centers in the Höglandet region.

Daily work involves handling both planned and emergency care. You maintain good relationships with patients and their relatives and collaborate with other healthcare providers and social authorities.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife. If you have previous experience in the profession, this is a big plus. To thrive with us, you must be able to work independently and have the courage to act according to your own convictions, planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work efficiently. You should be flexible, receptive, and accommodating in your interactions. You understand your individual role but can also see the best interests of the entire operation and the patients. Personal suitability is given great weight.
