About the role

As a QA Tester, you will become a central part of the team and work to ensure that Axis products maintain the highest quality before reaching customers worldwide. The role is not just about finding bugs – you are expected to understand the big picture, analyze systems, and contribute with smart, proactive testing solutions.

You will be involved throughout the entire development process, combining manual and automated testing. There are great opportunities to code, experiment, and develop technically, while collaborating closely with developers and other QA specialists in an agile environment.

You will primarily work with:

• System testing in both Windows and Linux environments
• Automated and manual testing, both scripted and exploratory
• Test automation and networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Proxy)
• Improvement of testing processes and quality work
• Collaboration with development teams in an agile setup

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has or is graduating in 2026 with a degree in Computer Engineering, IT, Programming, or similar
• Has a strong technical interest and enjoys coding and understanding complex systems
• Is proactive, curious, and dares to drive your own work forward
• Is a team player who thrives in collaboration with others
• Has an interest in – or experience with – using AI in studies, projects, or work

Previous testing experience is meritorious but not a requirement. We place great importance on your attitude, problem-solving skills, and willingness to develop.

About the assignment

This is a consultancy assignment via Gigstep, where you are initially employed by us, with the ambition to transition to a permanent position at Axis. Selection is ongoing.
