Blomsterfonden is a non-profit association working to ensure that older people have a secure home, professional care, and a meaningful daily life.

We operate five senior living facilities with vibrant social community and our own home care service, as well as four nursing homes where secure care is the focus. Our goal is to give older people a richer life – filled with community, care, and joy of life. Our work is guided by our ethical values: humanity, participation, clarity, and honesty.

The association was founded in 1921 by Alma Hedin. Under her leadership, a special spirit emerged – the "Blomsterfonden spirit" – which still characterizes our operations today. We continue Alma's legacy by cherishing what is at the core of every human life: seeing the individual's capacity, will, and emotional life.

Blomsterfonden also actively works to support relatives. We arrange and participate in various forums to spread knowledge about the needs and life situations of older people.

We are currently looking for 3 registered nurses who have a strong interest in elderly care.

Your Responsibilities

At Blomsterfonden, we work in a team centered around the resident, with supervisors and ombudsmen for ethics and interaction. You will be part of the care team consisting of assistant nurses, registered nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists.

As a nurse with us, you have independent work and are responsible for the care of the elderly. In the role of a nurse, you, together with other nurses, are responsible for leading health and medical care initiatives in close collaboration with other care staff and Rehabilitation. The work involves assessing, treating, alleviating, and sometimes curing symptoms. As a nurse, you also perform standard nursing tasks such as taking blood samples, administering injections, inserting catheters, changing dressings, and handling medications and other medical and medical-technical tasks.

You report to the operations manager and participate in daily reporting in the HSL team.

• Has the ability to provide good interaction in varying situations when meeting the older person and their relatives.
• Is engaged and willing to take responsibility and lead the work.
• Is good at collaborating and communicating.
• Has good documentation habits.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse. Previous experience working in SÄBO (specialized housing for people with disabilities) or within geriatrics is meritorious. It is important that you speak and write Swedish fluently and have good communication skills. During the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 11 days – 3 months.
