Our client is looking for a Production Engineer for a long-term assignment within the manufacturing industry in Linköping. This role is ideal for you who want to combine practical work close to production with more analytical tasks in preparation and process planning.

About the assignment

As a Production Engineer, you will work with both support and development of production processes, focusing on manufacturability, efficiency, and quality. The role is varied and split between approximately 50% production-proximity work and 50% desk work, such as preparation and process planning.

Your responsibilities include among other things

• Drive improvement work on equipment and processes with a focus on efficiency and quality
• Work with preparation and process planning to ensure manufacturability
• Implement product changes and create and update work instructions
• Specify needs for tools and fixtures and support during the startup of new equipment
• Provide technical support to assembly personnel in their daily work
• Collaborate with both internal and external contacts

Requirements

• Relevant academic education in production engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3 years of experience from manufacturing industry with a good understanding of production processes
• Experience in preparation, process planning, or equivalent production engineering work
• Experience in improvement work and optimization of production flows
• Experience with Lean Production
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written
