We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer within power systems for a municipal company dealing with water, wastewater, and waste management in the Stockholm area. Here you will work in an industrial-like environment with advanced treatment plants, mountain facilities (underground installations), and extensive technical infrastructure that is crucial for the daily lives of hundreds of thousands of people. The operations are characterized by high safety standards, long-term perspective, and sustainable societal development.

About the role

As an Electrical Engineer in power systems, you will play a central role in ensuring reliable power supply to the processes at the facilities. Your main focus will be on medium-voltage installations and switchgear, where you will gradually take on increasing responsibility for the facilities' power architecture, operations, and long-term maintenance.

You will work both operationally and structurally, developing and managing maintenance plans for electrical equipment, handling work orders in the maintenance system, and receiving new project deliveries where you ensure that new electrical equipment is documented and entered correctly into the systems. You will serve as technical support for electricians and electrical technicians in the field and become a key person during power outages and major disruptions.

We are looking for someone who

• Has a university degree or Master of Science in Engineering in power systems, energy, or electrical engineering. Alternatively, has a practical background as an electrician/electrical technician with experience in switchgear and medium voltage, supplemented by further education to become an electrical engineer.
• Has a basic understanding of automation and control systems (e.g., PLC) and thrives in the intersection between electricity, processes, and control.
• Wants to build deep expertise over time in switchgear, medium voltage, and automation, and enjoys a daily routine that varies between field work, system work, and technical analysis.
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B).

Additional qualifications include:

• Practical experience with switchgear and medium-voltage installations.
• Experience as an electrician/electrical technician in an industrial environment.
• Experience with maintenance planning for electrical equipment (e.g., frequency converters, motors).
• Familiarity with work order and maintenance systems.
• Some experience in electrical design (e.g., cable sizing, electrical drawings).
• Experience from process industry, water and wastewater (VA), energy, or other automated facilities.

Practical information The position is full-time with a market-competitive salary and is located at the company's facilities in the Stockholm area, where some facilities are mountain installations and larger underground spaces. The position is subject to drug and alcohol testing according to company procedures as well as relevant safety routines. Start date is by agreement.

The path in via Xamera You begin your employment as a consultant via Xamera for approximately 12 months and participate in our talent program, Xamera Talent. During this period, you work on-site at the company in the role of Electrical Engineer and receive a structured start to your career with coaching, follow-up, and support for your development.

The goal is that after the program period, you transition into a permanent position directly with the company, provided that the collaboration works well for all parties.
