We are looking for you who have a degree as a study and career counselor, and it is meritorious to have certificates showing that you have previously worked with children and young people. You should be able to build good relationships with students, guardians, and staff in daily work.

As a person, you are communicative, responsive, and well-versed, adhering to the professional ethical principles for SYV (Study and Career Counselors), and you have a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

We consider it important that you, as a person, have a good approach towards students, guardians, and staff. You should find it easy to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. As a study and career counselor at Hannaskolan, we expect you to teach/inform and guide students regarding further education, as well as support the rest of the staff in their study and career-oriented efforts. Since study and career counseling runs as a red thread through the entire primary school, we see that you as an applicant are interested in working from a holistic perspective, as Hannaskolan is a school with students from preschool class to grade 9.

The duties include guidance in groups or with individual students, as well as teaching/information regarding current study and career counseling. You will also be an important part of the work teams' efforts with students to achieve success in the student's development. Collaboration with the business community and other external parties is part of the assignment, for example through internship coordination. Together, we work to ensure that every student succeeds in their schooling, thrives, and feels well. You should be open to collegial learning where you contribute your experience and knowledge to the school's continued work.

An important part of the job is contact and cooperation with guardians, for example by participating in or organizing parent meetings during the school year.

Hannaskolan is beautifully located in the western part of Umeå in Umedalen. The school is an independent primary school with a confessional Christian orientation, covering grades F-9 as well as a leisure center. Since the school is based on a Christian value system, we would appreciate it if you have a Christian faith and share the school's values.
