Birkaskolan is a school offering preschool, after-school care (fritidshem), and compulsory education from preschool class to grade 9. Our overarching goal is to foster creativity, self-confidence, and a love for learning through Montessori pedagogy.

We offer after-school activities before and after school hours for preschool class through grade 3. Currently, our after-school program serves approximately 150 students.

Our after-school program provides continuity and security in an inspiring environment, adapted to the children's size and developmental level. We aim for every child to grow and develop into an independent individual at their own pace, based on their unique prerequisites. The children are grouped in mixed-age classes, where older children serve as role models, mentors, and helpers to the younger ones. The after-school activities are sometimes divided into two groups: preschool class to grade 1, and grades 2-3.

We are looking for a teacher of after-school programs (fritidspedagog) with experience in leading and coordinating after-school activities.

Your responsibilities include collaborating with your colleagues to develop the educational environment, making the program even more secure, stimulating, and challenging. You will drive and develop the pedagogy in line with Montessori principles and other governing documents.

We are looking for someone with strong collaborative skills, flexibility, a positive attitude, and the ability to inspire and engage your colleagues.
