Do you have an IT background and want to work in a developmental and broad role with significant responsibility? To our global client, we are looking for someone with an understanding of IT and business-critical thinking who wants to upgrade the existing system portfolio to cloud-based solutions. Apply today!
ABOUT THE ROLE:
For our client, centrally located in Skövde, we are looking for a Solution Engineer to join a small team consisting of three competent and experienced colleagues. As a Solution Engineer, you will work closely with the business and collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs in the production environment and translate them into concrete IT solution requirements.
You will work with critical production systems developed by IFS, and it is important that you understand the technical aspects involved in these systems and their impact on the factory operations where they are used. Currently, we are in an exciting and business-critical phase where existing systems are being upgraded to a cloud-based environment as part of a two-year migration program. You will be a key player in ensuring a smooth transition.
Your role will also involve:
- Translating business needs into system requirements and practical solution configuration
- Acting as a system expert with a good understanding of how solutions are used in the factory's operations
- Performing IT testing and supporting quality control activities
- Providing IT-specific support and guidance to our factories during daily operations and change initiatives
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Economics, or equivalent.
- At least one year of professional experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of SQL and APIs.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
- Fluency in both Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work.
It is an advantage if you:
- Have experience from the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Have experience with IT testing activities.
- Have previously worked in an IFS system.
- Have knowledge of Oracle databases, SaaS solutions, and/or integrations.
To thrive in this role, we see that you are self-motivated, curious, and solution-oriented. You thrive in an organization where you take significant responsibility and work closely with both technology and business. You are communicative and find it easy to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders, while being open, curious, and proactive.
ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:
This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
- Scope: Full-time.
- Start: After the summer.
- Location: Skövde.
- Salary: Market-competitive monthly salary.
- Contact Person: Hanna Lejon.
Remember to apply quickly as we conduct ongoing candidate selection, and the ad may be closed before the position is filled if we move to the selection and interview phase. We do not accept applications via email.
