Your Responsibilities

Saab is now looking for a driven and innovative tooling preparer/production technician who wants to be part of developing cutting-edge production documentation!

In this role, you will become part of an engaged team where collaboration between design, logistics, and production is a central part of daily life. You will work in projects, where you are responsible for production engineering work related to tools and test equipment. This is an opportunity for you who want to combine technical expertise with process development in an innovative and forward-looking environment.

Your main responsibilities include, among other things:

• Handle design documentation.
• Evaluate manufacturability and optimize both lead times and material consumption.
• Improve and develop Saab's working methods to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
• Close collaboration with purchasing to identify and cooperate with the right suppliers.

Your Profile

For this role, we are looking for you who have experience in production engineering work, preferably with a focus on tooling. You have either a production engineering education or equivalent work experience that has given you the right competence for the role.

As a person, you are driven, curious, and have a strong desire to develop. You work carefully and systematically and take independent initiative to seek the information needed to solve your tasks in the best way possible. Since the role involves many contact surfaces, both internally and externally, it is important that you are skilled at building relationships and have good communication skills.

Requirements for the position:

• Good proficiency in working with 3D and CAD tools.
• Computer literacy and experience with business systems, where IFS or ERP is highly meritorious.
• Good understanding of mechanical machining such as milling, turning, and grinding.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

Meritorious:

• A background as an operator in a workshop and a desire to take the next step in your career.
• Experience from roles within purchasing.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
