Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is significant. Contributing to societal development is even greater. With us, you get to do both. We are now looking for an Administrator for the Industry division and our quarry in Hovgården, Uppsala. At Svevia, we combine the camaraderie and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist with engagement, collaboration, and responsibility.
Your Role as Administrator
As an administrator, you will be based at the Hovgården quarry and will work with the incoming and outgoing weighing of various types of materials, such as ballast, asphalt, and reclaimed asphalt. You will handle documentation of materials arriving at our landfill facility in Uppsala as well as recycling operations in the region. You will also answer and handle incoming calls regarding sales and inquiries.
You will serve as a face to our own employees, customers, and suppliers. In the long term, the role may develop, meaning additional tasks may be added. Your primary tools are the computer and the telephone.
The position is located in Uppsala, and working hours are 06:00 - 15:30 (06:00 - 13:00 on Fridays). Travel within the scope of work may occur.
The position is a permanent employment starting with a 6-month probationary period.
Who Are You?
You enjoy working with administrative tasks and with people - this is the most important aspect! To succeed in the role, you have experience in administrative work, good computer skills, and proficiency in the Office suite. Furthermore, a valid B-driver's license is required, as well as good spoken and written skills in Swedish and English.
We assume you are a helpful, unpretentious, and social person who is responsible and efficient in your professional role. Your sense of service is instinctive, and you meet challenges in a solution-oriented manner. You relieve your colleagues of tasks and are a helping hand where needed. We value your drive and your willingness to learn more.
It is an advantage if you have worked in systems with elements of customer management and are accustomed to handling multiple tasks in parallel, as well as having experience with incoming and outgoing weighing of various types of materials - for example, ballast, asphalt, or similar.
Part of Something Bigger
Svevia's industry division is in an expansion phase, and the ambitions are high. The goal is to be a leading player in paving in Sweden.
Behind every road lies more than the visible surface: a whole industry of knowledge and delivery capability. Our offering is an industrial process. From stone to finished road.
It all starts with a quarry, which then becomes ballast, which in turn is used in the production of asphalt, which is finally laid on the road. With over 100 own quarries, own production of asphalt, bitumen emulsion, and thermoplastic, we have a breadth that no one else has. In our laboratories, we perform material analyses and ensure that products meet standards and requirements. And our skilled teams in milling, paving, tank coating, and road marking ensure the delivery is complete.
Why Svevia?
With us, you quickly become part of the team, and we care about being a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, it is easy to influence and have your voice heard.
We have career paths for you whether you want to become a manager and leader or develop in your current professional role. We create success as a team. This is how we do business and generate results. This is how we make cities and countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
Application and Information
You apply easily by sending your CV and answering a few selection questions. Our recruitment process is based on a competency-based approach, which is a prerequisite for recruiting in a quality-assured, inclusive, and unbiased manner. Therefore, we do not want a cover letter.
