We are looking for

We are looking for you with a Swedish medical license and completed specialist training in psychiatry. You also have a solid interest in our specialty and want to influence the future development of the specialty within the region. Great importance will be attached to your personal qualities.

What you will work with

As a doctor at the clinic, you are responsible for patient care, perform diagnostics, initiate and evaluate pharmacological treatment, and collaborate with other healthcare providers and units regarding patient treatment and rehabilitation.

At the clinic, a diverse group of competencies works together, including medical secretaries, nurses, doctors, care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, etc. We are a large and friendly work group that includes both curious newcomers and experienced employees who are happy to share their knowledge. Together, we strive to offer our patients fast and professional care with high quality.

• Certificate of medical degree from the university or universities where you completed your basic education. This applies even if you are educated in another EU country or outside the EU
• License certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen)
• Specialist certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen)
• Optional certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Docent, as well as date of defense and title of the thesis
• Complete updated publication list, if applicable
• Certificate/documentation of teaching experience and possibly other pedagogical merits
• Optionally further documented merits regarding, for example, clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, management experience, and anything else you wish to highlight as advantageous for the sought position

Information about the position

We are looking for a specialist doctor with the possibility of permanent employment. Working hours are during the day with on-call duties in the evenings and weekends at our acute psychiatric clinic, Sunderby Hospital, according to agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreement.

The position is within psychiatry: Based on the nature of the activity and safety requirements, applicants to our activity must be prepared to provide extracts from the criminal record.
