Electrical Cabinet Designer for Global Energy Company in Finspång
Framtiden i Sverige ABÖstergötlands län, Finspång
Previous experience is desired
About the role
In this role, you will work on the overall design of electrical cabinets – from requirements to finished solution. You design electrical cabinets for everything from control systems to fire protection systems, adapted to gas turbines, customer requirements, and international standards. You are responsible for drawings, internal wiring, cable layout, and component placement – and you follow the project all the way to assembly. When the cabinets are being built, you are close to the technicians, answer questions, solve obstacles, and ensure that the design works in reality. You have contact with suppliers, design managers, and other interfaces, and you become a key person in the project. The work often takes place in project cycles of 4–5 months. This is a role for you who likes to understand the big picture, thrives in dialogue with others, and wants to see your designs come to life.
In this role, you thrive if you are confident in yourself and dare to take initiative when something needs to be solved. You are communicative and social, and find it easy to collaborate with both technicians, project managers, and external suppliers. You like being the one who ties the threads together, asks questions when something is unclear, and drives the work forward with a calm and structured approach.
We are looking for someone who has...
- Post-secondary education in electrical design/power engineering or electronics
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
- Comfortable working in projects and handling multiple phases simultaneously
- Experienced in working in projects
- Experience with technical drawings in 2D/3D
Meritorious
- Experience with Siemens COMOS, E-plan, or AutoCAD
- Practical background, e.g., as an electrician
- Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
- Active during studies
